WHITE ON WHITE

I had the pleasure of shooting a Style Story with & Other Stories, while showing them around my favorite LA spots. While widely known LA landmarks are frequents on city guides, I shared my more personal favorites - from the pink wall and green door I drive by every day to where I go for plant therapy - the lesser known places where I like to get lost. All clothing, shoes, and accessories featured above in the "White on White" collection will be available in stores October 15.

10 RULES OF STYLE

I'm all for everyone dressing however they want. Fashion is a judgment free zone (provided you're not assaulting my eyes with near-nudity) as far as I'm concerned. That said, if you're curious about my personal rules on how I dress, take a gander here. And below are my favorite items on MATCHESFASHION.COM currently...

LORAC PRO FILES

What a difference it makes getting your makeup done by an actual professional! I don't know if I'll be able to replicate this look, but I'll give it the ol' overachiever OCD effort. No surprise I'm not a huge fan of color (but do appreciate the drama of a defined eye), so I secretly love to use contour kits as neutral eyeshadows as well. And this LORAC PRO Contour Palette has all the best shades for defining. Just watch me get my sculpted face on.

Thank you to Carol Shaw, Mark Chi (pictured), and the LORAC PRO team for a fun day of pampering!

CASE STUDY 22

J.W. Anderson shirtdress via TheRealReal // vintage Levi's // Trademark slippers

Lately it seems like all the LA transplants know the city better than us natives, so this weekend I did something different for a change and went exploring. Special days call for special clothes, so I actually made a concerted effort not to wear a sloppy tshirt and put on my new favorite J.W. Anderson shirtdress (another TheRealReal miracle find) and headed out to the Stahl House, historic Case Study #22. Fun way to spend the afternoon and take in the city views.

With Mother's Day around the corner, you could try doing something new besides the usual brunch. Fill her belly and take her on a tour of a beautiful historic landmark. BOOM. Mother's Day solved. And if you're still looking for a gift, here are my picks below.

NYFW STREET STYLE

Dion Lee reflective knit shirt // VEDA Jayne Jacket // Adam Lippes trousers // Mansur Gavriel clutch // Acne Studios scarf

ASOS sweater dress // Céline coat // Vans Sk8-Hi // Céline Trio bag // Acne Studios scarf

Coach shearling coat // RVCA jeans // Acne Studios boots // Kelly Wearstler scarf

Céline sweater // VEDA Jayne Jacket // Wacko Maria trousers // Mansur Gavriel clutch // Acne Studios scarf

Remembering how cold it was in NY this past February (and how nice it was to finally wear coats).

CHECK BOX OFF THE LIST

Just about the only kind of dress I will wear - long and baggy. But the addition of a nice clean lady bag gives it a bit more of a feminine touch. Ok fine, I wasn't expecting you to overlook the sneakers, but really all I can do is try.

I've never been much of a bag person. I prefer classic designs as long as all the styles are covered - bucket, messenger, small, tote, lady, doctor, duffel. Finally ticked that grown up lady bag off the list and even ventured into non-black territory. I swear I always find all my hunting list items on The RealReal.
